Lake County's Carlsbad Spring, about four miles from Kelseyville, is tepid, warmer than the winter air and not by much. Penson Court, the nearest road, is a hundred and fifty feet away. The owner is unlogged and so is the access status; that pair of blanks is the thing to resolve before anything else.
Roadside at a little over two thousand feet. Winter rain is around twenty-eight inches and snow about seven, enough to dust the hills a few times a year. No park or agency is attached to the spring in the record, and no land unit either, so there is nobody official to call about it.
Best on record are the coldest months, December through February. Warm Springs Rec Area, seventeen miles, is the camping the record turns up. Access is blank on file, so check the parcel before visiting. No fee is recorded. Tepid water in January will not warm anyone up.
