An unmeasured hot spring on Unimak Island, within the Alaska Maritime refuge in Aleutians East Borough. The record says hot and stops there; no degrees, no sample date. Access is restricted. Akutan is the nearest community listed, around sixty miles away. Hot without a number could be anything, and the refuge is the only body that could say more.
Low coastal ground on refuge land, under a hundred and fifty feet above the sea. The closest road is an Army jeep trail left from World War II, and from it the spring is a walk of under four miles. Heavy snow in winter, steady rain otherwise. Fish and Wildlife has the say on the land.
No best-months entry. Restricted access, so the refuge comes first. Without a temperature you cannot plan a soak, and an unmeasured hot could mean scalding, so if you reach it treat the water as dangerous until tested. No fee or camping information exists in the record.
