Hot Springs On Bogoslof Island

Bogoslof Island, in the Aleutians West Census Area, has hot springs recorded at sea level. Dutch Harbor is over a hundred miles away. No landowner or access status is recorded, and nobody has measured the temperature. The nearest road is forty four miles off, which tells you a boat is the only way in.
Elevation is zero, so the springs sit at the waterline. The closest road is more than forty miles distant, across open water. Weather runs mild for Alaska, averaging in the low forties, with moderate snow and regular rain. Nothing is on file about who owns the island or what the ground is like.
