Warm Springs
The orange dot marks the spring, in a frame about three quarters of a mile wide.
Warm Springs, Gila County, San Carlos Reservation, about sixteen miles from the town of San Carlos. The water is tepid, warm enough to register and no more. Roadside, two hundred feet from the road, which the record does not name. It is tribal ground and nobody has recorded whether the public may visit.
Elevation a touch over four thousand feet. Snow here totals close to a foot and rain about fifteen inches, so the winters are real, and the year averages in the mid sixties. The land is the reservation's. The approach is roadside. No campground is listed, and no fee, no designation beyond tribal.
Come in winter; the record says so. Ask the reservation first. No camping on record, no sample of the water, no USGS number, no photo. Temperature only, and it reads tepid, so this is a curiosity to confirm on the ground. The nearest town given is San Carlos itself.
USGS hasn't flown a detailed laser scan here yet, so this view comes from aerial photos and older elevation data.

Heat flow measures the warmth working its way up through the ground from deep inside the earth. Where it runs high, rain and snowmelt that seep down through cracks in the rock come back up hot.
