Whites Point Hot Springs
Whites Point Hot Springs is hot water at the low end of the elevation scale, in Los Angeles County two miles from Rolling Hills, a couple hundred feet above sea level. The water is hot, a bit past comfortable soaking heat. Public access and ownership are both unrecorded, so treat it as off limits until somebody tells you different. A photo is on file.
Trump National Drive is the named road in the file, and the spring lies a short distance from it, a little over a hundred feet, so no walking to speak of. The elevation is nearly at sea level. Snow never falls, and rain is scarce, under ten inches a year on average. Land ownership and designation: nothing entered.
Winter months, December through February, carry the best-months tag, though with no snow and a mild average the season matters less here than up in the mountains. Roadside. The file lists no nearby campground and no fee. The water is warmer than a hot bath, so test it before you get in and go slowly. Access is the big unknown; nothing says the public can reach it.
Aircraft with laser scanners measured this ground to within inches. The scan strips out trees and buildings, leaving the bare shape of the land around Whites Point Hot Springs.

Heat flow measures the warmth working its way up through the ground from deep inside the earth. Where it runs high, rain and snowmelt that seep down through cracks in the rock come back up hot.
