Beowawe Hot Springs (The Geysers)

Beowawe Hot Springs goes by The Geysers too. It is a boiling-hot thermal area in Lander County, Nevada, about twenty miles from Battle Mountain. The temperature on record is near boiling, well into scalding. The land is BLM, Tuscarora Field Office, and open to the public. This is a place to look at. Nobody soaks in water that hot.
Geyser Road runs within a couple hundred feet, which puts the site at the roadside. High desert basin. Winters bring more than two feet of snow across the season and the summers are dry. The parcel is plain public land, no wilderness or refuge status. The file gives no word on fencing or ground conditions around the vents.
Listed season is winter. The water will scald on contact. Stay back from anything steaming and keep children and dogs well away. Nothing on fees. No camping is given, and the water has never been sampled. Snow falls here in real quantity over the winter, so plan for it.
The site goes by a second name, The Geysers. The road in is Geyser Road.
