Haanĝux̂ Cold Bay Hot Springs
The orange dot marks the spring, in a frame about three quarters of a mile wide.
Haanĝux̂ Cold Bay Hot Springs is a thermal site on the Izembek National Wildlife Refuge, Aleutians East Borough. No temperature is on file for it. Sand Point, the nearest town listed, is about seventy-five miles away, and access is restricted. OpenStreetMap records the same name for the spot, so it has been mapped by someone.
Half a mile from the end of a World War II US Army jeep trail, at low elevation on refuge land. A short walk, as these things go. Snow comes in quantity in winter and rain is regular the rest of the year. The US Fish and Wildlife Service manages Izembek.
No best months are listed. The walk from the road is short, but access is listed as restricted, so check with Izembek refuge staff before you go. No temperature reading exists, so nobody can say from the record how warm the water runs. No campground or fee is recorded.
USGS hasn't flown a detailed laser scan here yet, so this view comes from aerial photos and older elevation data.
