A barely warm thermal spring at the west end of Emmons Lake, in the eastern part of the Aleutians, on the Alaska Peninsula refuge. The measured temperature is well below body heat, so this is not water to soak in. Sand Point is the nearest town on the record, some sixty-five miles off. Restricted access, per the listing.
Over a thousand feet up, about eight miles past where the World War II Army jeep trail stops, deep in refuge country. The climate data carries a heavy snow number and a cold average year, with rain in the months that are not snowing. Backcountry travel, with no route detail on record and no facilities listed.
January through March is the stretch the climate data favors, which here means snow on the ground. Access is restricted; contact the refuge. The water is barely warm. Do not plan on getting in. The listing has nothing for a campground or cabin.
