One of several hot springs on Atka Island, this one down near the shoreline, three and a half miles past the end of the road. It falls inside Alaska Maritime, a national wildlife refuge, and the refuge restricts access. Hot is all anyone wrote down about the water, with no number behind it. The closest named town is Dutch Harbor at roughly 178 miles.
Elevation is under 150 feet. The approach is a hike of a few miles over refuge ground. Winters drop a fair amount of snow. Yearly averages sit near forty with regular rain. No road is named. The US Fish and Wildlife Service is the landowner.
Season is not flagged. Ask the refuge before going, since the land is restricted. The temperature has not been measured, so hold off on any soaking plans until someone confirms it. Nothing is listed for camping. Dutch Harbor is the reference town, and it is a long way off.
