Great Sitkin Island, Aleutians West Census Area, about 267 miles from Dutch Harbor, has hot springs recorded high on its slopes inside the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge. There is no temperature on file at all. Access is restricted. This is a refuge island and a long way from anything.
The springs sit at about 2,500 feet, twenty miles beyond the last road, across terrain the record does not describe. Backcountry, plainly. The yearly average hovers right at freezing. Snow is heavy and rain is frequent. The US Fish and Wildlife Service holds the land.
Best months and temperature are both blank. So is camping. Access is restricted, so the refuge decides who goes. If you are researching the island, this listing confirms a thermal feature exists at altitude and little else.
