Little Salt Spring
Little Salt Spring lies a couple of miles from North Port in Sarasota County, Florida. The water temperature on file is warm, below body heat, the kind of warm a Florida pond gets. It sits about eighteen feet above sea level. Who owns it and who may visit are both unknown here.
West Price Boulevard is the road, a fifth of a mile off. Short walk. Snow does not figure here at all, and rain comes in at around forty-five inches a year. Elevation is near sea level. The record carries no land owner and no designation, and the Wikipedia link attached to this entry points at a different spring in California, so there is no history to draw on.
Winter is the best time by our ranking, December through February, when the air is coolest. Nothing is on file for camping or fees. Access is unrecorded, and the spring sits close to a named road in North Port, so assume nothing about ownership until you have asked.
Aircraft with laser scanners measured this ground to within inches. The scan strips out trees and buildings, leaving the bare shape of the land around Little Salt Spring.

Heat flow measures the warmth working its way up through the ground from deep inside the earth. Where it runs high, rain and snowmelt that seep down through cracks in the rock come back up hot.
