Abercrombie Warm Springs
Abercrombie Warm Springs lies inside Grand Teton National Park, five miles or so from the town of Jackson. Warm in the literal sense, a tepid flow in the low eighties, and it is park land, so soaking rules are the Park Service's to set. Public access is listed as open. The water alone is no reason to come.
Warm Springs Road runs within a few hundred feet, and from there it is a short walk. Elevation is a bit over six thousand feet. The winters bury the place in close to twelve feet of snow across the season, and the summers are dry. Federal land, managed as part of the national park, with Gros Ventre Campground the nearest place to sleep on the record.
Best months on file are December through February, which in practice means snow on the road and a cold walk. Gros Ventre Campground is about six miles away. No fee is recorded. The spring is tepid, so there is no scald risk. It is national park land, and the Park Service decides what is allowed in the water, so look up current regulations before planning a dip.
