Treasureton Hot Springs
Treasureton Hot Springs in Franklin County, southeastern Idaho, puts out water at the low end of soaking warm, a touch under body temperature in the 1972 reading on file. It sits eighteen miles from Preston. That temperature would make a comfortable soak if there is a pool to sit in. Whether a pool exists is not on record. Neither is the landowner, or any access status.
North State Highway 34 is the nearest road, a tenth of a mile or so off, so a short walk from the highway is all the approach there is. Elevation falls a little short of five thousand feet. Winters bring a fair amount of snow, over eighty inches in a usual year; otherwise the climate is dry. Nothing on file names an owner or a land unit.
December through February are the recommended months on record. Maple Grove Campground is the closest listed camping, under four miles away. The water poses no burn risk at its measured temperature. The big unknown is permission: no public access status exists in the record, so ask before crossing anything that looks private. Nobody has sampled the water since 1972, going by the record.
