Kropp Hot Spring is a hot spring off Bidwell Road in Union County, Oregon, fourteen miles or so from Union. The water is on the hot side of soaking, warm enough to feel it. Who owns the ground and whether visitors are welcome are not recorded, and no USGS site number is attached, so the temperature comes from another source.
Some two hundred feet from Bidwell Road at middle elevation. Moderate snow and a couple of feet of precipitation. The nearest camping in the file is the Anthony Lake Guard Station, seventeen miles or so away, which is a long way to go for a tent site.
Winter shows as best in the record. Temperature suits a soak, but nothing is said about a pool or any improvements. Ownership and access are unknown; ask before you go. No fee listed, no chemistry on file, no land unit or designation.

Overview Anthony Lake forms the source of Anthony Creek, named for William 'Doc' Anthony, an ambitious homesteader who came to Baker County in 1864. He was a farmer and a doctor, collected tolls on the Dealy Wagon Road for a time, and ran his ranch until he died in 1914 at age 85. Anthony Lake Guard Station is a historic Civilian Conservation Corps log cabin built in the 1930s - one of only a few Forest Service cabins built of logs.
