Little Mountain Hot Spring
Little Mountain Hot Spring is a hot spring in Box Elder County about nine miles from Elwood. The water comes out at the upper edge of soaking temperature, hot enough that most people would ease in slowly. Nobody is named as owner and nothing is recorded about access. There is a photo on file, and no water chemistry at all.
The road passes about 190 feet away. Valley elevation in the northern part of the state. Snow comes to around two and a half feet over a winter and precipitation is moderate. No land unit or designation is listed.
The cold months are the ones on file. Box Elder Campground is about seventeen miles off. Permission is unrecorded, so find out before you go. Test the water before getting in; the temperature on record has no date attached, so it may have changed.

Heat flow measures the warmth working its way up through the ground from deep inside the earth. Where it runs high, rain and snowmelt that seep down through cracks in the rock come back up hot.
