Bartine Hot Springs

Out in the Antelope Valley of Eureka County, Bartine Hot Springs rise on public land run by the Bureau of Land Management, about twenty-one miles from Eureka. The water comes up at a soaking temperature, a little on the hot side of bath warm. Access is listed as open. Older references also call the place Bartine Ranch Hot Springs.
You can drive almost to the water. Bartine Hot Springs Road passes within a few dozen feet of the springs, and the land belongs to the BLM's Mount Lewis Field Office. This is high desert, above six thousand feet, dry through most of the year but with winter snow that piles up close to three feet, so the road can be a different proposition in January than in June.
Winter rates best here on the record, odd as that sounds for a place that gets real snow; the water is warm enough to make the cold worth it. Roadside access, open to the public, no fee on file. The number on record is a survey figure; check it against your own hand.
Wikipedia places Bartine Hot Springs, also written Bartine Ranch Hot Springs, in the Antelope Valley of the Nevada high desert, about forty kilometers northwest of Eureka. The USGS carries the site as a monitored thermal point.
