Klobe Hot Spring, also recorded as Bartholomae, is a scalding source in Eureka County twenty-two miles from the town of Eureka. It comes out well above one hundred fifty degrees. The USGS has it on file, and a photograph exists in the record. Owner unknown, access unknown.
This one is high, above six thousand feet, and the winters show it with better than three feet of snow. Annual precipitation is ten inches. The closest road has no name attached in the record, and the spring is a couple hundred feet from it, so the approach is short once you are there.
Visit between December and February, the stretch the record recommends. Expect snow on whatever road you take. Keep clear of the water; at this heat it will burn on contact. Chemistry is missing despite the USGS listing. Fees are unrecorded. Land status is something to settle before you go.
