Manley Hot Springs
The orange dot marks the spring, in a frame about three quarters of a mile wide.
Manley Hot Springs is both a spring and the small community named for it, a census designated place with 169 residents at the 2020 count. The spring itself lies five hundred feet or so off Old Highway on land the record lists as tribal. Access is marked unknown. Water chemistry from 1976 shows a near neutral pH and a moderate mineral load. Nobody has put a temperature on record.
Old Highway is the closest road, and the record rates the approach a short walk. Elevation is low, around 350 feet. Interior climate with an average a hair under thirty and light snow for Alaska. Healy appears as the nearest town on the record, though the community of Manley Hot Springs is right here.
Because the land is tribal and access is unknown, ask locally before walking in. The 1976 sample found sodium and chloride among the minerals. Best months: none given. There is no campground or fee on file. Temperature has not been recorded.
Manley Hot Springs is Too Naaleł Denh in Koyukon. Wikipedia lists it as a census designated place in the Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area whose population stood at 89 in 2010 and 169 in 2020. The USGS sampled the spring in July 1976.
USGS hasn't flown a detailed laser scan here yet, so this view comes from aerial photos and older elevation data.
