Pleasantview Warm Springs
Pleasantview Warm Springs is a warm spring in Oneida County, a few miles outside Malad City. The water is tepid, in the seventies when the USGS last checked in 1976, so think of it as bathwater gone cool. It carries a fair mineral load, including iron, and the dissolved solids figure is on the high side. Ownership and public access are blank in the record.
State Highway 38 passes within a hundred feet, which makes this about as roadside as a spring gets. The surroundings are mid elevation valley country with a mild average temperature. Winters bring around four feet of snow, and under two feet of precipitation falls in a year.
January tops the list of best months, with December and February behind it. Third Creek Group Site is the closest camp listed, about twelve miles away. Since ownership of the ground along the highway here is not on record, do not assume you can pull over and get in. The temperature and chemistry figures are half a century old. There is a photo.
