Rogers Spring

Rogers Spring is a warm spring in Nye County on Ash Meadows, a national wildlife refuge, about twenty-five miles from Pahrump. The water is warm, short of soaking temperature. Access on the refuge is restricted. Fish and Wildlife manages the ground, and the spring is a few steps from Longstreet Spring Road.
Longstreet Spring Road passes within thirty feet. Low desert, under twenty-five hundred feet, four inches of precipitation most years, and snow close to never. Federal refuge land, designated National Wildlife Refuge. A 2003 sample found near-neutral water carrying a moderate amount of dissolved minerals, iron among them. The annual average is in the high sixties, with hot summers.
Restricted access means no soaking unless the refuge says so. Check with Ash Meadows before you go. The record puts the best time in the coldest months, December through February. No campground is listed and no fee. Pahrump is the closest town listed. Expect warm water, under the soaking range.
