Low eighties at the source. Longstreet Spring sits in Nye County, 25 miles from Pahrump, inside Ash Meadows. That refuge is Fish and Wildlife Service ground with access restricted, so swimming and soaking are both out of the question. The only chemistry on hand comes from a USGS sample taken in 1966.
Longstreet Road passes within about a hundred and thirty feet. The refuge sits at low elevation, around twenty-three hundred feet, in true desert: four inches of precipitation a year and an inch of snow. Land designation is National Wildlife Refuge.
The record points to winter, and summer temperatures here argue for it. Access is restricted; follow refuge rules. No fee is recorded. The 1966 chemistry showed alkaline water with moderate dissolved solids.
The spring is part of Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge under the US Fish and Wildlife Service, and the USGS has tracked it since at least the 1966 sampling.
