Warm Springs
Warm Springs on the Muleshoe Ranch Preserve, thirty miles from Benson in Cochise County. The land is held by a nongovernmental conservation owner, and public access is a blank, marked unknown. Soaking warm water, around ninety. The spring is roadside, some 260 feet off a road that carries no name on file.
Four thousand feet and dry: ten inches of rain, snow barely worth mentioning. Private conservation land under a preserve designation. Roadside access. Nothing is listed for camping. The annual average is mild, mid sixties.
The record marks December through February as best. Access is the question: a preserve run by a private conservation group may have rules or closures, and nothing is on file either way, so contact the preserve before going. There is a USGS site number on this one; no chemistry, though there is a photo. The preserve designation is the only land note on file, and no road name or fee is recorded.
Aircraft with laser scanners measured this ground to within inches. The scan strips out trees and buildings, leaving the bare shape of the land around Warm Springs.

Heat flow measures the warmth working its way up through the ground from deep inside the earth. Where it runs high, rain and snowmelt that seep down through cracks in the rock come back up hot.
