Tylers Bath Spring
Tylers Bath Spring is a soaking-warm spring on national forest land nine miles from Fontana, in San Bernardino County, and it is open to the public. The water is a little below body temperature, warm enough for a sit. It is a USGS sampling site with chemistry on file. Applewhite Campground is close, a couple of miles off.
Mountain foothills at about 3,100 feet, inside San Bernardino National Forest. Dry country with light snow, under ten inches in a typical year. Under two hundred yards from where you leave the road, and the road has no name in our data. The 1995 water sample showed slightly alkaline water, low in dissolved solids, with calcium and sodium among the listed minerals.
Winter tops the listed months, and the light snow seldom gets in the way. Short walk. Applewhite Campground at about two miles makes this an easy overnight. The Forest Service lists it as open. No fee recorded. Water chemistry dates from 1995, so it may have shifted since.
