Condie Hot Springs, Blaine County, about 20 miles from Bellevue, with water in the mid 120s. The approach road has no name on file and the owner is unknown, so the record leaves the question of access open. There is no campground nearby on file and no photograph.
The walk in comes to about 0.4 miles. Whatever road you leave, it has no name attached to it. Country here is drier than the Sawtooth springs up north. A bit under five thousand feet. Most winters pile on around three feet of snow, and the year totals thirteen inches of precipitation. Summers stay warm and dry. Nothing else about the surroundings was ever set down.
The good months, per the record, fall in winter. With only modest snow this is more plausible here than at the high mountain springs. The water was sampled in 1997, which makes it one of the more recent readings in Idaho, and it came back neutral with iron present. At this temperature it needs cooling. Ownership is worth checking before you go.

Heat flow measures the warmth working its way up through the ground from deep inside the earth. Where it runs high, rain and snowmelt that seep down through cracks in the rock come back up hot.
