Udy Hot Springs in Box Elder County is hot, hot enough that you would not get into it as it comes out of the ground. It lies about eight miles from Garland in northern Utah farm country. The USGS lists it as a thermal site, and a 1966 sample supplies the chemistry on the page. Ownership and whether the public can visit are not recorded, so assume private until you learn otherwise.
A road called 5650 West passes about three hundred feet from the source. The valley floor here is low by Utah standards and gets a wetter climate than the desert springs south of it, with a winter snowpack that can top three feet and close to eighteen inches of precipitation over the year. No land unit or manager is on file.
Water this hot needs testing before any part of you goes in. Let it cool or mix, and never assume the outflow is safe. Winter is what the record names as the time to come. Bridger Campground is the nearest on file, a long way off at roughly twenty-three miles. Access status is blank, so settle the permission question before you commit to the drive.
