Forty-five miles out of Lovelock in Pershing County, a thermal point the USGS logs as Spring rises beside a road at a warm temperature, well short of hot. Who owns the land is unrecorded, and so is whether anyone may use it. It has no photograph on file and no second name from any other source. For most readers the interesting part is how little is settled about it.
The spring sits practically on the shoulder, a few dozen feet from the roadway, though the road itself goes unidentified. High desert surrounds it. Winters bring a modest snowfall, a foot or so, and the year's rain is thin.
It rates best when the weather turns cold. Roadside, so you park and you are there. You could be pulling over onto private ground, since ownership was never established and access is a question mark; find that out first. The warm reading is the only temperature anyone has taken, an undated USGS survey, with no chemistry attached. Fees and nearby camping are unknown.
