Warm Springs in Utah County is a tepid spring on state land at Utah Lake, about eight miles from Saratoga Springs, with a photograph on file. It appears in the USGS inventory with chemistry from a 1958 sample, the oldest reading in this group. Public access is listed as unknown.

Location

A short walk of a couple hundred yards from an unnamed road brings you to the spring, which lies on the Utah Lake unit under the state agency coded SDNR, designation SOTH. The elevation is lake-level valley, around forty-five hundred feet, and winters drop about four feet of snow with a moderately wet year. Hope Campground is fourteen miles or so away.

The record lists winter. Snow will be a factor on the walk in. Hope Campground is the nearest on file. The 1958 sample is old enough that the temperature and minerals should be treated as history, and with access unknown the state agency that holds the lake is the one to ask.

Heat Below
96 milliwatts per square meter of heat flow

That's about 1½ times the US average of 65. It's higher than at 40% of the springs on this site.

Heat flow measures the warmth working its way up through the ground from deep inside the earth. Where it runs high, rain and snowmelt that seep down through cracks in the rock come back up hot.
