Beatty Municipal Spring
Beatty Municipal Spring runs warm, below body heat, a couple of miles outside Beatty in Nye County, Nevada. The word Municipal is in the name and nothing in the record explains it, and no public access status has been filed, so the question of who may visit is open. A USGS site record exists for it, with no chemistry.
From East Main Street it is a walk of about a fifth of a mile. The town is right there. Low desert, very dry and hot in summer, with rainfall near five inches a year and barely any snow. No land owner is on record, and no unit or designation either.
The best months, by the file, run December through February. Access is unrecorded, so ask in Beatty before walking out to it. The water is warm and cannot burn. No campground and no fee are listed. The walk is short enough that the drive in is the main effort. A photograph is attached to the entry.
