Spring
Half a mile outside Beatty in Nye County sits a USGS thermal point filed under the bare name Spring. The water comes up at bathwater warmth, the kind you could sit in for a while on a cool morning. Ownership went unrecorded and so did any public right to use it, so hold off until someone confirms more. There is a photograph on file, which is unusual for a point this obscure.
It lies on low desert, where winters see only a dusting of snow and the whole year brings a few inches of rain. From wherever you leave the car the spring is a bit over a hundred yards away on foot. The record does not name that road, and the landowner is blank as well. Beatty is close enough that you could be in town for lunch.
The cold months score best on file, December through February, and snow is hardly a factor here. Count on a short walk in. Whether the public may be on this ground is unrecorded, and the warm reading is the only temperature anyone has logged, with no sample date beside it. Confirm both before you build a trip around the place. No fee and no campground appear in the record.
