Inside Lake Mead National Recreation Area, in Clark County, Blue Point Spring runs warm about fifteen miles from Moapa Valley. The National Park Service manages it and lists access as open. The water is warm, nowhere near hot, and heavily mineralized; the 2003 sample shows thousands of milligrams per liter of dissolved solids.
Northshore Road runs a couple hundred yards off, so the last stretch is on foot. Low Mojave country here, near fifteen hundred feet. Snow never falls, and the yearly rain total comes to about five inches. Nearest camping is Echo Bay Campground, a little under six miles away.
Winter is the season the record picks, December through February, when the desert is walkable in the afternoon. Open access on Park Service land; check the recreation area's entrance fee rules since none is recorded here. Warm water only, so no scald risk. Camp at Echo Bay if you want to stay over.

Overview Echo Bay Campground is located in the northern end of the park along the Overton Arm of Lake Mead. It’s open year-round and features paved sites that can accommodate tents or RVs, along with tables, fire pits and/or grills. Restrooms and water spigots are located throughout the campsite.
